A traditional Christian leadership academy in development Learn about our mission
AGES 10–17

Knowledge with purpose. Leadership through practice.

Our planned Youth Academy combines traditional Christian character education, civic learning, practical life skills, and meaningful projects that help students learn by doing.

01 —
PROGRAM FORMAT

A weekly place to grow.

The proposed academy format is a 60–90 minute weekly learning session, paired with opportunities to practice skills through supervised chapter projects, speeches, teamwork, and service. Scheduling, curriculum materials, and instructor qualifications will be finalized before enrollment.

02 —
CORE CURRICULUM

A rounded education for real life.

The curriculum is designed to teach the knowledge and habits a future parent, worker, business owner, neighbor, or public servant should understand.

  • Christian character, moral reasoning, faith, and family values
  • Constitution, Bill of Rights, American history, government, and civic duties
  • Law, due process, ethics, and the responsibilities of public service
  • Public speaking, debate, negotiation, and respectful disagreement
  • Financial literacy: saving, budgeting, banking, credit, and taxes
  • Entrepreneurship, economic thinking, and practical problem-solving
  • Team leadership, teamwork, community service, and volunteering
03 —
THREE LEARNING LEVELS

Age-appropriate challenges.

Students would be grouped approximately into Foundations (10–12), Junior Leadership (13–15), and Senior Leadership (16–17). More advanced students move from basic knowledge to analysis, public presentation, mentorship, and leading projects.

04 —
EVIDENCE OF GROWTH

Build a record of what they can do.

Over time, students may build a portfolio of speeches, service hours, completed projects, budgets, leadership experiences, and demonstrated skills. The long-term curriculum vision includes rotating multiyear learning projects rather than repeating the same material each year.

05 —
SAFETY & ACCESS

Parent partnership is essential.

Before programming for minors opens, VLL intends to implement parental consent, appropriate adult screening, two-adult supervision, incident reporting, safe pickup procedures, and secure handling of student records.
